Successful 1st year of charity cycling WITH ŽĎAS ON A BIKE FOR CHILDREN THROUGH THE ŽĎÁR HILLS

On Saturday, June 15, the 1st year of the charity bike ride WITH ŽĎAS ON A BIKE WITH CHILDREN THROUGH THE ŽĎÁR HILLS took place.

The event was attended by almost 130 cyclists and 2 scooter riders, who completed 49 kilometers at a leisurely pace through the undulating landscape in the vicinity of Žďár nad Sázavou in beautiful weather.

At the head of the peloton were Josef Zimovčák on a mountain bike and Aleš Wasserbauer on a mountain bike, who set the pace of the ride. Along the route, we stopped in Nové Město na Morava and Ostrov nad Oslavou, where refreshments were prepared for us and where we were greeted by the deputy mayor of Nové Město, Stanislav Marek, and the mayor of Ostrov, Ludvík Martínek.

At the start of the event, 2 financial donations were handed over to the children’s department of the hospital in Nové Město na Morava. ŽĎAS donated 50,000 CZK as the main organizer. In addition to his tall bike, Josef Zimovčák also brought a check for an additional 50,000 CZK through the Josef Zimovčák Na kole dětem Foundation Fund, so the primary MUDr. Matouš Záleský from the children’s department took home a total of CZK 100,000.

During the ride, its participants also contributed their financial contributions to the sealed box. The total contribution after unsealing the mailbox amounted to CZK 11,247.00. Thank you very much to everyone for your participation and support, as well as for any contribution.

At the finish line, goulash and drinks were waiting for all finishers to replenish their exhausted energy.

What to say in conclusion…1. the year was undoubtedly a success, everyone enjoyed it, a good thing was done.
